At Electric City Playhouse, our mission is to:

provide a variety of entertaining, quality experiences to a diverse spectrum of the community and surrounding areas.
partner with other community organizations in our growth, outreach, and education of the arts.
operate a theatre facility where quality theatre opportunities are created through the efforts and talents of community members.

Our History

After many meetings, and a lot of hard work, Electric City Playhouse was formed and incorporated on February 14, 1984 as a non-profit organization. Our objectives were to provide an alternate theatre with more contemporary productions, to offer children exposure and education in theatre arts, and to showcase local talent.

At Electric City Playhouse, we depend on donations, sponsors, and advertising (in our showbills) to help fund our productions, improvements to the theatre, and to provide summer camp scholarships. Electric City Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donations are tax deductible.
